Late Returns
A late fee of $15 per garment, per day will apply when a garment is returned after the agreed deadline.
For example, a garment returned two days late will incur a $30 late fee.
Garments must be returned on time so they can be inspected, cleaned and prepared for the next customer.
If a late return affects another confirmed booking, the customer may also be responsible for reasonable losses directly caused by the delay.

The hired garment may only be worn by the customer named in the booking.
The garment must not be shared, transferred or worn by another person during the hire period without prior approval.
If another person wears the garment, Hire Her Wardrobe may charge an additional hire fee.

-
Your preferred date and time;

Your event date; and

The garments you would like to try.
If you are unsure which garment you want, you are welcome to try several available options.

Try-on appointments are available at our location in Diamond Creek. The exact address will only be provided through Direct Message after your try-on appointment has been confirmed.
Appointment Times and Late Arrivals
Try-on appointments run for a maximum of 45 minutes.
If you are running late, please contact us through Direct Message as soon as possible.
Appointments will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time. After this time, the appointment may be cancelled.
Arriving late will not extend the original appointment finishing time.
Try-On Conditions
Customers must not attend a try-on appointment with wet, unwashed or recently applied fake tan.
Please take care to avoid transferring makeup, fake tan, deodorant, perfume or other products onto garments.
The same conditions apply when wearing the garment during your event.
Cleaning or repair fees may apply if a garment is marked, stained or damaged during a try-on appointment or hire period.
Hire Her Wardrobe reserves the right to refuse or end a try-on appointment if these conditions are not followed.
Guests
You may bring a maximum of two guests to your try-on appointment.
This limit applies because the try-on area has limited space.
Guests must follow all appointment and garment-handling conditions.
Cleaning
Standard professional cleaning is included in the hire price.
Customers must not wash, dry-clean, iron, steam, spot-clean or otherwise attempt to clean a hired garment.
If a garment becomes stained or damaged, please contact Hire Her Wardrobe and return it without attempting to clean or repair it.
Care of Garments
All garments must be handled with care.
Many garments are delicate. When wearing a maxi dress or another floor-length garment, please lift the garment when walking across rough, wet or dirty surfaces.
Customers should also take care around food, drinks, makeup, fake tan, jewellery, sharp objects and open flames.
Damage
We understand that accidents can happen. However, the customer is responsible for damage caused to a garment during the hire period, including:
-
Stains;
-
Pulls or snags;
-
Rips or tears;
-
Burns;
-
Broken straps, fasteners or zips;
-
Unauthorised alterations;
-
Damage caused by attempted cleaning; or
-
Any other damage beyond reasonable wear.
The customer may be charged the reasonable cost of professional cleaning or repair.
Hire Her Wardrobe will assess the damage and provide details of any additional charge.
Damage Beyond Repair
If a garment is lost or damaged beyond reasonable repair, the customer may be required to pay the garment’s full recommended retail price or reasonable replacement cost.
Any repair or replacement payment does not automatically give the customer ownership of the damaged garment unless agreed to in writing.
Unreturned Garments
If a customer does not return a garment, they will be required to pay its full recommended retail price or reasonable replacement cost.
This charge is separate from any late fees already incurred before the garment was considered unreturned.
Hire Her Wardrobe may take reasonable steps to recover an unreturned garment or unpaid amount.
Cancellations, Refunds and Store Credit
Hire Her Wardrobe does not provide refunds for change-of-mind cancellations.
If you cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled event date, Hire Her Wardrobe may provide store credit at its discretion.
Any store credit issued:
-
Is not redeemable for cash;
-
Is subject to garment availability; and
-
Must be used within the timeframe provided when the credit is issued.
Refunds or other remedies may still be available where required under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Refusal of Service
Hire Her Wardrobe may refuse a booking or try-on appointment where reasonable, including if:
-
A customer has previously damaged or failed to return a garment;
-
Required identification is not provided;
-
Payment remains outstanding;
-
A customer does not follow these Terms and Conditions; or
-
There are safety, security or inappropriate behaviour concerns.
